"Side by Side"
Paul Gatto uses the soft texture of pastels to render this bucolic composition of people in the field harvesting grain, the staff of life. Woman and man, side by side, are in the autumn field working hard to bring in the harvest when days are getting short and this simple depiction tells it all.
