"Polo"
This panoramic view of the ancient fabulous sport of polo is a favorite. This colorful sport dates back to Persia in the
6th Century BC. Gatto uses a broad palette to give the scene a festive look with sparkling color.
The polo ponies race, turn, twist and spin under their mounts as their riders using long handled mallets vie
for control of the white ball and a goal - a sport of action and risk. The original painted on a panel measures
57¼ x 25¾ inches and was painted in oils in 2005.
