Shipping & Handling, Framing and Returns

Shipping & Handling
In theory, art on canvas or paper is best shipped flat, but we prefer to pack the art in tubes.  The shape of the flat package exposes its surface to more bending, puncture and mishandling.  Carriers rates are generally higher and packaging more costly, so that there is savings in the more sturdy and compact tube.  However, the art should be removed from the tube at once upon delivery.

Important:   When you receive the art, remove it from the tube with great care, or better yet, take it to your picture framer as soon as possible. Be certain to use a framer with museum standards experience.

At present, our carrier is Fed X.  The art is insured in the amount of its purchase price. They provide tracking numbers. Allow three weeks for delivery. Shipping and handling is free.

Framing:
We do not offer picture framing. When making size selection, remember that the addition of matting(s) and moldings increases the overall size of the presentation.  Giclée reproductions are archival; therefore, it is important that your framer adheres to museum standards. Framing selections are best left for the patron to choose according to their decor and taste.  Stretching or mounting of canvas is also best done locally. Moreover, framed or mounted art would increase shipping expense considerably. Canvas prints do not require glass and should be mounted on a firm board rather than stretched, because the mounted canvas is less vulnerable to puncture or sagging.  Paper prints should be matted and framed under glass.  Keep all valuable art away from sunlight or brightly sunlit rooms.

Returns:
Returns of art in mint condition are accepted within 30 days and the purchase price is guaranteed.  Returns are not allowed on personalized prints.
