"Louisville Slugger" (A detail)
Two kids awed by the trademark on a bat take us back to other times. Nostalgia is often a part of Paul's work and since such events are genuine, one is not viewing sentimentality. An impressionist style produces this boyhood moment that has little leaguers awed by a Louisville Slugger bat.
The original is oil on canvas and measures 24x30 inches. It was painted in 1997 and is in the collection of Mr. H. Terranova.
